PRODUCATION ASSOCIATE / MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER ASSISTANT - FORT WORTH
Full-Time 
Non-Exempt 
Position is Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with occasional weekend and overtime hours.           

PREFERRED: Previous Mortgage, Banking, and/or Sales experience. 

DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who requires minimal supervision and performs various functions that support the department, originators, and sales; enabling lenders and managers to effectively generate quality mortgage loans.

The majority (60%) of their time is spent supporting mortgage lenders/clients but they will also frequently interact with referral partners and origination third parties (title companies, selling & listing agents, builders, etc.). While this position spends the majority of their time supporting the mortgage lending function, they also  support other lending functions in order to meet the company’s needs and goals.  

The Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant provides the Mortgage Loan Originator support by interacting with borrowers and referral partners daily and by coordinating the sales and closing activities of each loan transaction. It is essential that the candidate provide exceptional service to clients and potential clients, referral partners and other mortgage operations associates assisting in the loan process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

1.                Communicate with clients regarding information and/or documentation needed for the processing or underwriting their loan.  Collect customer financial information such as assets, investments, debt, etc.

2.                Gather data from various sources and prepare reports and/or correspondence as appropriate; order appropriate reports which may include title search, title work, flood certificate, environmental reports, survey's, etc.

3.                Obtain credit information and  review loan collateral to ensure properly documented.

4.                Communicate with Appraisal Desk, regarding the processing of loans. Provide information in an efficient manner so loans can be processed timely for customers

5.                Recognize selling and referral opportunities and effectively promote company products.

6.                Review loan application package with customer and obtain signatures. Provide on-going support to foster customer relations

7.                Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

·        High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
·        2 years mortgage origination, banking or equivalent related experience required.
·        Successful completion of Encompass Training within 90 days. Follow recommended learning plan which includes annual compliance courses and continued education via web-based and classroom delivery required.
·        Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
·        SSBT Mortgage Group or Security State Bank & Trust experience preferred.

·        Must be able to operate personal computer keyboard in order to create reports, schedules and other appropriate documentation

·        Specific vision abilities required by this job include close distance, and color vision.  In addition, the ability to adjust focus is necessary to perform this function.

OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE / MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR - FORT WORTH

REQUIRED: Previous Mortgage Loan Processing experience

DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who requires minimal supervision and performs various functions that support the department, originators, and sales; enabling lenders and managers to effectively generate quality mortgage loans.

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization. Courtesy, customer service, and tact are essential elements of the job.

Position will often be in a busy office environment. The ability to multitask and focus in this environment is essential

JOB DUTIES

  • Reviews residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets company standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment; in some cases, recommends a loan application not be sent to Underwriting.
  • Prepares necessary documents and submits mortgage loan application files for underwriting approval.
  • Reviews and calculates income including but not limited to: Paystubs, VOEs, tax returns (personal and business)
  • Review credit reports and address credit issues or concerns
  • Orders FHA/VA case numbers, and tax transcripts.
  • Submits conditions to Underwriter to clear loan for approval.
  • Follows up on all outstanding orders to third parties and borrowers within established company deadlines.
  • Prepares file for closing and submits to Closer. Ensures that file meets all funding requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • In-Depth knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations (RESPA, Reg B, HMDA, FHA, VA Conventional, FHLMC, FNMA, Bond, Rural Development and others as offered)
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
  • Basic word processing and computer skills are required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Position will often be in a busy office environment. The ability to multitask and focus in this environment is essential
