The SSBT Loan Process

It can be a big step to buy, build, invest or refinance your current mortgage.  Understanding the Loan Process and the timely exchange of information is important to a smooth and successful closing. Below is an overview of how the Loan Process works: 

Origination

Step 1: Apply / Sign Disclosures
Step 2: Gather your documents and required info to supply to an SSBT Loan Officer
Step 3: We'll issue you a Pre-Approval Letter
Step 4: Begin your house hunt being well-prepared knowing your budget


Processing

Step 5: 3rd Party Services are ordered such as the appraisal, title work, insurance, tax returns and verification of employment
Step 6: We'll process the file to prepare it for a smooth underwriting whereby additional documentation may be required

Underwriting

Step 7: We'll underwrite (done in-house) the file to now validate all the compiled documents to make certain of an insurable loan and formally approve or deny the loan.  Additional documents may be requested
Step 8: Satisfy any conditions assigned by the Underwriter

Closing

Step 9: We clear the file for closing
Step 10: Close on your home!
